I was watching tonights episode of Top Gear, (which for those who don't know is a British based car show with a humorous spin when it comes to conveying facts and information about cars) and in this episode the guys decide to take over The MIMA gallery in Middlesborough and using nothing but motor based art they attempted to get 30 000 visitors through the door in a single week! You get to see all the different ways they went about creating some of the pieces; one of the guys tried to create a sculpture out of deconstructed car bits that speaks of his emotions and feelings when he is driving a car (this is at 2mins 50secs into the video) and another of the guys goes so far as to try to get the car to become the artist itself! (this is at 3mins 45secs in). I thought it might be an interesting take on the use of an everyday object or readymade within art practice as such!
