ion Lifespan, 2009 which represneted Australia in 53rd vennice Biennale was an installation piece which consisted of 195 774 VHS video cassettes arranged into a solid rectangular block. the combination running time for all videos which adds up to 60.1 years represented the average lifespan of a person during the 1976 the year VHS was first produced. it captures ones life in such materialistic product which is quite ironic and witty. your whole life in just a block.
